From Under GH¢100 to Over GH¢30,000: NPP Treasurer Honours Party Executives for Financial Turnaround

The National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Charles Dwamena, has credited constituency executives across the country for helping transform the party’s finances, revealing that monthly membership dues have increased from less than GH¢100 to more than GH¢30,000 under the current administration.

According to Dr. Dwamena, the remarkable increase reflects improved financial discipline, transparency and accountability, which have strengthened the party’s internal revenue generation between 2022 and 2026.

He made the remarks during a nationwide appreciation tour aimed at recognising constituency executives for their support to the National Treasury. As part of the exercise, he presented citations to party executives in acknowledgement of their dedication, commitment and contributions to the party’s financial management.

On Wednesday, August 5, Dr. Dwamena and his team visited several constituencies in the Eastern Region.

The tour began at Bunso (Cocoa College), where constituency executives from Abuakwa North, Abuakwa South and Fanteakwa North received citations of appreciation.

The delegation then proceeded to the NPP Party Office in Anyinam, where executives from Atiwa East, Atiwa West and Fanteakwa South were honoured for their service to the party.

The third stop was Nkawkaw, where executives from Abirem, Nkawkaw, Mpraeso and Abetifi were recognised for their contributions to the party’s organisational and financial growth.

The final event took place at Oda Presby Church, where constituency executives from Akim Oda, Asene Manso Akroso, Akim Swedru, Achiase and Ofoase Ayirebi were presented with citations.

In the citation presented to the executives, Dr. Dwamena expressed appreciation for their unwavering support, describing them as key partners in the National Treasury’s achievements over the past four years.

He said their commitment, constructive suggestions and dedication had helped restore financial discipline while improving transparency and accountability in the party’s financial administration.

“The collective effort has led to one of our most significant achievements—raising monthly membership dues from less than GH¢100 to over GH¢30,000. You are an integral part of this success story, and I am truly grateful for your support,” the citation stated.

Dr. Dwamena also commended the executives for their honest feedback and continued engagement, saying their contributions had strengthened both the National Treasury and the party as a whole.
