Fifty tertiary students from the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Constituency have received financial support from the Member of Parliament, Samuel Atta-Mills, to assist them in their academic pursuits.
The beneficiaries were drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country, including public universities, technical universities, agricultural colleges, colleges of education, and nursing training colleges.
The support, which was provided in cash, ranged between GH¢2,000 and GH¢5,000, depending on the level and specific needs of each student.
The presentation was made on behalf of the MP by the Constituency Treasurer, Francis Obeng, who represented the MP at a brief ceremony.
Mr. Obeng explained that the initiative forms part of the MP’s continued commitment to promoting education and easing the financial burden on students within the constituency.
He urged the beneficiaries to remain focused on their studies and to put the support to good use, stressing that the MP considers education a critical driver of community development and national progress.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Afful, a student of the University of Cape Coast Medical School, expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills for the timely intervention. He noted that the financial support would significantly help them meet their academic and personal educational expenses.
The gesture once again underscores the MP’s dedication to supporting tertiary education and empowering the youth of the KEEA Constituency.
