Parliament is scheduled to commence debate on the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the government today, Tuesday, November 17, 2025, with discussions expected to run through Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
The proposed time allocations for the debate: the Majority and Minority Leaders will each have 1 hour, other parliamentary leaders 30 minutes, Ministers 15 minutes, Chairpersons and Ranking Members of Committees 15 minutes, Vice-Chairpersons and Deputy Ranking Members 10 minutes, and other MPs five minutes each.

The debate follows last week’s presentation of the 2026 Budget Statement to Parliament by the Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.
