The Chairperson for the Mentorship Session of the National Girls-In-ICT Programme in the Upper West Region, Prof. Hamida Dramani, Vice Chancellor of Dr Hilla Liman Technical University, has urged the 1,000 beneficiary girls to take a keen interest in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills to empower themselves and stay connected to global opportunities.

‎The Mentorship Session, a key component of the Girls-In-ICT initiative, aims to inspire and guide participants to pursue studies and careers in ICT and other Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
‎
‎In her remarks as Chairperson, Prof. Dramani commended the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation for implementing a transformative programme that equips girls with practical digital skills while fostering mentorship and leadership development.
‎
‎She encouraged the participants to remain focused, confident, and determined in shaping their futures within the rapidly evolving technology-driven world.
‎
‎The session also brought together accomplished women professionals and mentors from diverse backgrounds who shared their experiences, insights, and advice on overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities in the ICT and STEM sectors.

‎The Girls-In-ICT Programme forms part of the Ministry’s broader agenda to bridge the gender digital divide, promote digital inclusivity, and nurture the next generation of Ghanaian women leaders in technology.
