Sam George Donates to Ningo and Prampram Traditional Councils Ahead of Homowo Festival

The Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has presented assorted items and cash donations to the Ningo and Prampram Traditional Councils to support the celebration of this year’s Homowo festival.

The donations, made on Tuesday, August 13, 2025, included sacks of maize, gallons of palm-nut oil, cartons of drinks, packs of bottled water, and undisclosed cash amounts for each of the two traditional areas.

At the Prampram Traditional Area, Nene Adebomtenya III received the items on behalf of the council and expressed gratitude to Sam George for his consistent annual support towards the festival.

In the Ningo Traditional Area, the items were received by Nene Djangmah Osroagbo XII, Paramount Chief of Ningo and President of the Ningo Traditional Council, who commended the MP for his immense contribution to sustaining the culture and traditions of the Ningo-Prampram people.

Both traditional leaders thanked the Minister for his intervention in providing water to the communities, but appealed for a lasting solution to the water challenges facing the constituency.

Responding to their concerns, Sam George reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a regular water supply and, as an interim measure, pledged to deliver ten tankers of water to each traditional area.

The event was attended by the District Chief Executive, Raphael Uriel Nartey, constituency executives, and other dignitaries.
