The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed Julius Kwame Anthony as a Deputy Communications Director of the party, with immediate effect.
The appointment was approved at a meeting of the FEC held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, according to a statement issued and signed by the NDC General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey.
The party said the appointment forms part of efforts to strengthen its communications machinery, enhance public engagement and effectively articulate the policies, programmes and achievements of the NDC-led government.
According to the statement, Mr Anthony brings to the position a sound understanding of communication and its strategic application in advancing the objectives of the party.
It said his appointment was expected to further strengthen the NDC’s capacity to communicate its vision, deepen public understanding of its policy direction and sustain the gains being made under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, particularly within the framework of the government’s Reset Agenda.
The NDC expressed confidence that Mr Anthony would bring dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility to his new role. He is expected to work closely with the Communications Directorate and other relevant structures of the party to advance its communication objectives.
The party has consequently urged media houses, including print, electronic and digital media organisations, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to take note of Mr Anthony’s appointment and accord him the necessary recognition in the discharge of his official duties.
The statement further informed the public and the media that Godwin Ako Gunn, Kassa Essuman, and Julius Kwame Anthony are the official voices of the NDC and contact persons for matters concerning the party.
The FEC congratulated Mr Anthony on his appointment and wished him success as he assumes the new responsibility in service to the NDC and the Ghanaian people.
