The leader of the Muslim community in the Offinso North District, Imam Alhaji Sualihu Saeed, has expressed excitement over NDC parliamentary candidate Caesar Ofosu Acheampong’s proposals ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at a gathering in Akumadan organized in honour of the NDC National Communication Officer Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC parliamentary candidate outlined his policies and vision for the constituency.
Hon. Caesar Ofosu Acheampong highlighted plans to improve education, healthcare, and financial support for farmers and the elderly, as well as his commitment to regularly engage traditional and faith leaders in the constituency for input on development and welfare matters.
“I intend to embark on quarterly meetings with Nananom during my tenure as MP to brainstorm on pertinent issues, and developmental initiatives, and keep them informed about policy direction and government business for effective and prudent leadership,” he stated.
In response, Chief Imam Alhaji Sualihu Saeed praised the candidate’s intention to address inclusiveness in decision-making, saying it would promote problem identification and foster progress in the district.

“Hon. Caesar has touched on the two main issues I wanted to raise: his commitment to hold regular meetings with Nananom and faith leaders, and his openness to share government updates and consider community concerns. I am truly pleased with this, and may God be with you for it,” Imam Saeed commended, adding that Islamic education should also be prioritized.
He emphasized the need for improvement in the district’s Islamic schools, noting challenges such as deteriorating structures and lack of facilities, which hinder a conducive learning environment for students.
During the event, Hon. Caesar reiterated his dedication to improving educational infrastructure across the district, presenting approximately one thousand school uniforms for distribution at the District Education Directorate. He also restated his commitment to establishing a tertiary institution in the area—a plan also endorsed by Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi.

Lawyer Gyamfi, who received an overwhelming welcome, urged the people of Offinso North to end the NPP’s 28-year mandate in the area by voting for Hon. Caesar and the NDC to bring about much-needed development. He further assured the community of his support for projects in road networks, healthcare, and the establishment of tomato and pepper processing factories to bolster the local economy if the NDC wins the 2024 elections.
