The MP for Damongo Constituency, Hon.Samuel Abu Jinapor has donated food items to support the 1st anniversary of the overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bikunuto Jewu Soale I.
The donation which was made by the West Gonja Municipal Chief executive Karim Musah Kusubari on Thursday 25th April 2024 at the residence of the Yagbonwura included 30 bags of rice, 20 packs of bottled water, 30 crates of assorted drinks, cooking oil, a bull and cash amount of Ghc10,000.
The MCE in a brief speech on behalf of Hon.Abu Jinapor said the donation from the office of the Damongo MP is to aid the overlord and the visitors who will be in Damongo for the anniversary.
Mr Sulemana Adams, linguistic of the Yagbonwura, thanked the Damongo MP for his continued support for the Yagbonwura, especially during times like this.
He said the Yagbonwura is very grateful to Hon. Jinapor and that he is looking forward to seeing him during the anniversary.
Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale was enskinned on 20th March, 2023 Until his elevation to the Yagbon skin, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jawu Soale was the Tulwewura, one of the five divisional gates to the Yagbon skin.
