The National Executive Committee of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially confirmed its ticket for the 2024 general elections.
The party at a meeting earlier today, threw its weight behind Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate for its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
This marks Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s second consecutive term as the running mate, having previously held the same position during the 2020 election.
Despite intense pressure and lobbying from some quarters, Mr Mahama opted to maintain the former Education Minister.
