The grand finale took place at Teshie Salem Square on Sunday, July 16, 2023. The event was sponsored by Miksi Choco, Fanmax, and KpoK3k3, and partnered with media outlets including Latenu Radio, TV3, Teshie TV, and newsalertgh.com.
The presence of Clifford Martey Korley, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for the NPP, added grandeur to the event. Additionally, several assembly members from the Teshie Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly and representatives of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Modekai Quarshie were in attendance.

In an interview, Abban Aleoo expressed his joy and gratitude to all those who supported him throughout the competition, starting from the initial stages to the finals. He extended his appreciation to the event sponsors and Mr Martey Korley for organizing such a competition that united the community through card playing.
“I thank Hon. Clifford Martey Korley for creating this platform for us to showcase our talent and skills in card playing. We have never had such a significant card competition before, but through him, we have been brought together through this gaming activity. I also appreciate Gang 61; they have been tough opponents since the beginning,” said Aleoo.

On his part, Clifford Martey Korley emphasized the importance of sports, particularly card playing, in fostering unity among people of different ages, genders, and backgrounds. He acknowledged the challenges faced during the organization of the event, including narrow winning margins, perceived leniency of officials, and players’ lack of understanding of the game’s rules. However, he assured that the organizers successfully resolved all issues, with his involvement playing a role in brokering peace among the parties.
Martey Korley concluded by expressing gratitude to the people of Teshie and highlighted the need for unity to promote the town’s development and combat stereotypes associated with it.

The organizers announced that there would be a card competition between the teams that reached the semi-finals and the finalists, to determine an additional winner among the four sides before the conclusion of the Teshie Homowo festival in 2023.
