According to a press release issued and signed by the Public Relations Officer, Inspector Felix Kwao, the drivers attempted to evade arrest upon spotting the patrol team by speeding into a nearby bush.

However, officers pursued and successfully apprehended the suspects, identified as Akyereme George, aged 43, and Benjamin Akpado, aged 23.

A subsequent search conducted on the vehicles revealed 20 sacks containing a total of 680 pieces of dried leaves, neatly packed in white rubber bags and suspected to be narcotic substances.
