Ibrahim Mahama Inspects Ongoing School Projects He’s Funding at Tamale SHS

Businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, visited Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO) to inspect ongoing infrastructure projects he is fully funding at the school. The visit followed his attendance at a funeral in Salaga in the Northern Region.

The major project under construction is a 1,600-bed dormitory facility, which was revived in 2022 and is now 90 per cent complete. Mr Mahama, an alumnus of TAMASCO, toured the site, interacted with students and staff, and expressed satisfaction with the pace of work, assuring them that the project would be completed on schedule.

“We will ensure that the school has proper lighting so students can study comfortably and move safely around the campus,” he added.

As part of his visit, bags of rice and other essential items were dispatched to the school on Monday, November 24, 2025, to support the student body.

The school prefect, Abdul Rahman Baba, speaking on behalf of the students, expressed gratitude for the dormitory project, describing it as vital to their learning.
