Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, nominee for the position of Chief Justice of Ghana, is currently before Parliament’s Appointments Committee today, Monday, November 10, 2025, for his public vetting.
His nomination was formally referred to the Committee on October 21, 2025, after the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin presented the President’s correspondence to the House.
In his letter to Parliament, President Mahama commended Justice Baffoe-Bonnie for his integrity, professionalism, and decades of service to the judiciary. He noted that the nominee’s sound judicial temperament, fairness, and administrative competence make him well-suited to lead the judiciary.
