The Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA), Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo, has been sacked from office.
The decision, which takes immediate effect, was communicated in a letter signed by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Alexander Yaw Arphul.
“I wish to inform you that the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations has terminated your appointment as the Director of Cyber Security of the National Communications Authority effective immediately,” the letter stated.
Mr Osafo-Maafo has been instructed to hand over his duties to the Acting Director-General of the NCA without delay.
The letter further indicated that, in accordance with paragraph 8 of his appointment letter, Mr. Osafo-Mafo would receive three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
