Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson for the John Dramani Mahama Transition Team, has announced that ten heads of state will attend the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

The inauguration, set to take place at the Black Star Square, will include a parliamentary session, requiring the relocation of Parliament’s sitting to the venue for the swearing-in ceremony. Preparations are underway to ensure a secure and well-organized setting, with access to the parliamentary session restricted to invited guests.

Mr Ofosu expressed confidence in the event’s arrangements, describing it as an opportunity to showcase Ghana’s commitment to democracy and peaceful transitions of power.

“Members of the public and all invited guests are reminded that they cannot and will not be allowed to enter the swearing-in area without presenting their invitation cards.”
