The Serwaa Amihere Foundation has once again extended a helping hand to widows and single mothers through its annual ‘Red Roses Christmas Charity’ held at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).
The event held at the forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) on Saturday, December 21, 2024, was led by media personality Serwaa Amihere and her sister, Mami.
This year’s donation drive, the fourth in the series, featured notable personalities such as Nana Aba Anamoah, Sandra Ankobiah, Fella Makafui, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Keche, and gospel singer Piesie Esther.

Beneficiaries received food packages, seed capital for business startups, free health screenings, and National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registrations.
Among some of the items donated included bags of rice, packs of natural spices, packs of tissue, electric food mixers, blenders, pop machines, and pieces of cloth.

The charity event was marked by lively music, dancing, and heartfelt interactions between the celebrities and the beneficiaries. The foundation aims to empower widows and single mothers by alleviating financial burdens and fostering community support.
Attendees and beneficiaries of the Foundation’s donation drive were also feted to various varieties of food dishes.

Serwaa Amihere expressed gratitude to all who contributed to making the event a success, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to continuing its philanthropic work in the coming years.

“I want to send out my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one that supported the Serwaa Amihere Foundation to become a success. May God replenish all you’ve lost in donating and supporting this cause. See you next year. Bigger and better,” she wrote on her social media handles.
