President-elect John Dramani Mahama has reassured Ghanaians of his commitment to an inclusive leadership style rooted in humility and collaboration.
Addressing the nation after his victory in the December 7 general election, Mr Mahama stressed his resolve to serve the people and prioritize their voices in decision-making.
“I do not intend to be a supreme leader who lords over anyone. I will listen to the people in all my dealings as President,” he affirmed during a courtesy visit by Algeria’s Ambassador to Ghana, Mourad Louhaidia.
The President-elect also pledged responsible leadership in Parliament, where the National Democratic Congress (NDC) holds a majority. He stressed that the NDC would prioritize consensus-building and constructive dialogue rather than misuse its influence.
Mr. Mahama also assured of his administration’s focus on enhancing economic performance, creating opportunities for all citizens, and strengthening Ghana’s diplomatic relations.
Ambassador Louhaidia, who congratulated Mr Mahama on his electoral victory, described the achievement as a milestone in Ghana’s democratic journey and expressed Algeria’s readiness to deepen bilateral ties with Ghana.
