The seat of government, Jubilee House, has announced that Nana Bediatuo Asante, the Executive Secretary to the President and recently appointed Ambassador-at-Large, is in stable condition after falling ill during official duties.
In a statement released on Wednesday, October 2, the presidency confirmed that medical professionals in the United States of America are attending to Bediatuo.

The statement signed by Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin said Nana Bediatuo Asante began to feel unwell after the conclusion of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he served as a key member of President Akufo-Addo’s delegation.
The Jubilee House said he is recovering steadily and expressed optimism about his full health.
“According to the medical team, Nana Bediatuo Asante’s recovery is on track, and we remain hopeful for his swift return to full strength,” the statement said.
The statement further expressed appreciation for the continued prayers and support for Nana Bediatuo Asante and his family during this challenging time.
