Members of Parliament will resume sitting from recess today, Tuesday, June 11, for the third meeting of the Fourth Session.
The session will commence promptly at 10:00 am and will see the introduction of numerous legislative bills for consideration.
“Parliament to commence the third meeting of the fourth session of the eighth Parliament of the fourth Republic on Tuesday, 11th June 2024 @ 10:00 am at Parliament House, Accra,” excerpts of the recall notice read.

The House was abruptly adjourned by Speaker Alban Bagbin on March 20, 2024, following an extensive response to a letter from the Presidency. The letter had cautioned Parliament against transmitting the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, commonly known as the anti-gay bill, to the President for assent.
On May 3, 2024, the Majority Caucus petitioned the Speaker for an urgent reconvening of the House to address critical government business items. Key agenda items include the adoption of the Thirty-Fourth Report of the Appointments Committee for the approval of some Ministers and Deputy Ministers and a motion on additional financing.
