Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu is addressing Ghana’s Parliament following his resignation as Leader of the House.
The Suame MP stepped down from his role on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, following discussions between leaders of the majority caucus and the national leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

His resignation came amidst speculations of a reshuffle in the leadership of the majority caucus, leading to tensions between the parliamentary group and the national leadership.
Upon his return to Parliament on Thursday, February 22, Mr Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu for the first in 2 decades sat in a different location than the usual front bench.
He’s however on the floor of the House addressing MPs for the first time since his resignation.
