Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu: Former Majority Leader named chairman of Bawumia’s 2024 Manifesto Committee

The immediate past Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has been named as the Chairman of the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia 2024 Manifesto Committee.

This comes after the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Bawumia, announced the formation of his manifesto committee for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Moments after his resignation as the Majority Leader on Wednesday, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu was appointed as the Chairman of the Committee tasked to conduct a thorough review of the party’s 2016 and 2020 manifestos while engaging all relevant stakeholders to develop a practical manifesto for the 2024 elections.

A statement issued and signed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Director of Communications for Vice President Dr Bawumia’s campaign team, announced the appointment of the Suame MP in a statement released on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

“The Manifesto Committee is further charged to discharge their mandate efficiently and professionally to produce a comprehensive manifesto document that can stand the test of time to address the legitimate concerns and socio-economic challenges of Ghanaians.”
