The Deputy Central Regional Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nhyira Dadzie, has officially filed her nomination to contest for the substantive position in the party’s upcoming regional elections.
In separate social media posts announcing her decision, Ms Dadzie expressed gratitude to women leaders, constituency women organisers, TEIN women’s commissioners and other supporters for their encouragement throughout her journey.
She said her campaign would focus on rescuing, organising and empowering women across the party’s structures, from the branch level to the regional level.
“I am in this race to RESCUE, ORGANIZE, AND EMPOWER our women from branch to Region,” she stated, describing her candidature as a call to service.
Ms Dadzie also highlighted her contribution to the NDC’s electoral successes in the Central Region, citing her work on the ground to secure the Gomoa West parliamentary seat and her involvement in the party’s broader parliamentary victories across the region.
According to her, her experience in the party and her involvement in grassroots mobilisation have prepared her for the responsibility of leading the regional Women’s Wing.
She said her immediate objective, if elected, would be to mobilise the NDC’s women in the Central Region towards victory in the 2028 general elections.
Ms Dadzie, who is seeking to move from the deputy position to the substantive regional role, called on party members to support her with their votes, prayers and advice.
“When a woman steps up to be a part of a process, she carries the hopes of the youth, the elders, the vulnerable, and the entire collective on her shoulders,” she said.
She expressed confidence in her ability to serve and called on party members to join her in what she described as an effort to make history.
