The Mampong Akuapem Apesemakahene, Nana Yirenkyi l has described the ‘Ofie health walk’ organised by the Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Sammi Awuku as a gargantuan one in the history of Okuapeman.
Nana Yirenkyi I expressed astonishment at the overwhelming support for Sammi Awuku, stating that the youth of Okuapeman had never witnessed such a remarkable show of solidarity.
Thousands of people participated in the walk, proudly demonstrating their unwavering support for the NLA Director General.

During an interview with the media, Nana Yirenkyi I emphasized that the people of Akuapem had unequivocally declared Sammi Awuku as the ideal candidate for the position of Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem North.
He attributed this resounding endorsement to the years of continuous and dedicated service that Sammi Awuku had rendered to the people of Okuapeman.
The Apesemakahene applauded the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants, noting that many had gathered as early as 4:30 am for an event scheduled to begin at 8 am.
The overwhelming support demonstrated by the people during the ‘Ofie health walk’ served as a testament to the impact and development initiatives spearheaded by Sammi Awuku in various communities throughout Akuapem.

Nana Yirenkyi said Sammi Awuku has been helping Akuapem for the past 8 years and the time has come for the people to reward him for his good works.
“In every town in Akuapem, you will see something he has done for them. We know Sammi Awuku will develop Akuapem. And it will be a better place under his tenure as MP for Akuapem North,” he said.
He also noted that it was not for nothing that the “landlady” run away to contest a different seat.
Nana Yirenkyi I stated that this decision was a clear indication of the widespread endorsement of Sammi Awuku’s candidacy.

“We told you when the time comes, the landlady will run away and she did run away,” he added.
