Actress and movie producer Yvonne Nelson has broken her silence following the release of her memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”
According to her, the buzz generated by the release of her memoir is indicative that Ghanaians have cultivated the habit of reading.
Speaking to Accra-based TV3, she expressed her happiness at the reception of the book among Ghanaians and shared her joy that people were reading her book.
“It is good Ghana is reading, and I am happy about that. I am happy we are all reading,” she said at a book signing event at the Accra Mall.
When questioned about any potential backlash or her personal feelings about the content, Yvonne Nelson responded positively, saying, “Great that people are reading, I am happy people are reading.”
The actress remained steadfast in her assertion that she is not Yvonne Nelson, as the book’s title suggests.
While addressing the audience, she emphasized her gratitude for the overwhelming response to her memoir, which reached the number one spot in memoirs and biographies on the Apple Store.
