Parliament is currently debating the 24-Hour Economy Authority Bill, 2025.
The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, moved the motion for the Bill to be read a second time, thereby opening it up for consideration by Members of Parliament.

The Bill seeks to establish a 24-Hour Economy Authority to coordinate and oversee the implementation of the government’s 24-hour economy policy, which is intended to stimulate productivity, create jobs and drive economic growth.
