The Government of Ghana has announced that a state funeral will be held for the late Former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.
The ceremony, which will take place under the auspices of President John Dramani Mahama, is being organised to honour Mrs Rawlings for her exceptional service to the nation and her lifelong commitment to the advancement of women and children in Ghana.
According to a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, who serves as Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, the state funeral is in recognition of Mrs Rawlings’ invaluable contributions to national development and gender equality.
