“This clinic represents more than bricks and mortar, it is a symbol of compassion and a beacon of hope. Our goal is to ensure that quality healthcare is no longer a privilege but a right, even in the remotest corners.”

“This isn’t just a health facility. It is a symbol of what’s possible when compassion meets action. A shining embodiment of Rotary International’s mission — in disease prevention, maternal and child health, and community development.”

Equipped to deliver a full spectrum of services from reproductive care to emergency interventions. The facility will serve not only Berekuso but also its surrounding areas.

“With state-of-the-art equipment and a design focused on inclusivity and care, this facility will provide a full spectrum of services — from reproductive care to emergency services — serving not just Berekuso, but also Pakro, Dago Pokrom, and surrounding communities. This $200,000 investment represents far more than a number. It represents lives saved, mothers supported, children protected, and futures restored. And none of this happened overnight,” he stressed.

In a follow-up interview with the media, Rtn. Albert Bahun-Wilson stressed the club’s commitment to transformative service.

“This clinic represents more than just bricks and mortar. It is a symbol of compassion, A beacon of hope. Our mission is clear: to ensure that quality healthcare is no longer a privilege, but a right, even in the most remote corners,” he said.

“We are not merely commissioning a building. We are igniting hope, affirming dignity, and laying the foundation for a healthier, stronger, and more empowered community.”

“For years, this proud community has faced challenges no one should have to endure. Limited access to healthcare, low literacy rates, economic hardship, and ageing infrastructure.”

“This clinic stands as a shining embodiment of Rotary International’s mission: advancing disease prevention, maternal and child health, and holistic community development.”

The Municipal Director of Health Service for Akuapem South, Emily Amponsah, welcomed the development, noting: “This facility will greatly enhance access to essential healthcare services for rural residents. It represents a meaningful step forward in addressing healthcare inequalities in the region.”

She added, “The newly inaugurated clinic is more than a healthcare facility. It is a symbol of hope and a promise of improved health outcomes for the people of Berekuso. It reflects a growing recognition that sustainable development must include accessible and high-quality healthcare for all.”

Rotary International President-Elect (RIPE) Mario César Martins de Camargo, present at the event, expressed admiration for the project’s alignment with Rotary’s global vision.

District Governor Florence Maame Hagan praised the collaborative spirit that brought the project to life.

“This clinic is the fruit of a powerful partnership between the Rotary Club of Accra Ring Road Central, our District leadership, and the unwavering support of Rotary International. I salute the vision of the Club’s leadership for identifying this need, the tireless efforts of project chairs and volunteers, and the generous backing of our global Rotary family.”

“Access to basic healthcare and preventive screening transforms lives. Here in Berekuso, families will now find accessible care for mothers, children, and elders alike: routine check-ups, immunisations, maternal health services, and vital screenings for conditions like hypertension and diabetes. Every visitor who steps through these doors will benefit from the compassion, expertise, and dignity that Rotary brings to service. This project encompasses Rotary Focus areas of Maternal and Child Health, Disease Prevention and Treatment and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene into action.”

“Beyond the bricks and mortar, this project embodies Rotary’s commitment to sustainability. Training local health workers, integrating with the Ghana Health Service, and establishing community outreach programs ensure that this clinic will continue to thrive long after our inauguration is complete. Together, we are building not just a facility, but a living, breathing asset for generations to come.”
