Graham Kofi Baldwin, a journalist and media management expert, has called on the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) and National Security to, with immediate effect, arrest Reverend Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for the Assin South Constituency, over allegedly making false statements that tarnish the image of President John Dramani Mahama’s government.
Allegations Against Reverend Fordjour
Baldwin claims Fordjour’s statements are part of a larger strategy by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to evade arrest and prosecution. He suggests that state security agencies are being overly lenient, which could fuel public anger and resentment. Fordjour, a Deputy Minister of Education under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration, has been accused of using “Machiavellian groups and strategies” to obstruct law enforcement efforts aimed at arresting him to assist with investigations, following some damning statements he made concerning drugs and money laundering.
Call to Action
Baldwin urges the NIB and National Security to take immediate action, stating that “Jakpa and his team must up their game to prove to Ghanaians that the NDC government means business.” He emphasizes that no one is above the law and that spreading lies or falsehoods without evidence should not be tolerated.
“His statements and actions have significant implications for the country’s image, and it’s long overdue for our state agencies to use all available means to get the man behind bars,” he said, adding that the longer they delay, the more the public loses confidence in state security agencies.

Recent stories have highlighted Fordjour’s involvement in education and politics, including his comments on technical universities and climate education. However, this latest controversy raises questions about his role in potentially obstructing justice and the government’s efforts to address issues of accountability.
