A delegation from the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), led by its Chief Executive Officer, Eric Adjei, paid a courtesy call on the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Monday, April 7, 2025, to strengthen ties and explore new avenues for collaboration.
Accompanying the CEO were the Deputy CEO, Joan Selasie Ahiawordor, Esq., and other members of NEIP’s management team. The visit forms part of NEIP’s broader commitment to building strategic international partnerships aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in Ghana.
The NEIP delegation was warmly received by senior officials of JICA, including Oda Ryotaro (Senior Representative), Aizu Naho (Representative), Shinobu Shimokoshi (Manager & Senior Consultant, Economic Development Department), and Nana Adwoa Konadu Asaim (Program Specialist, Private Sector Development).
Discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation, particularly in supporting youth-led startups and creating pathways for Ghanaian innovations to enter the Japanese market. The two institutions also explored strategies for knowledge exchange, mentorship opportunities, and technical support for Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
Mr. Adjei emphasized NEIP’s vision of empowering young people through entrepreneurship, aligning with the broader development agenda of President John Dramani Mahama.
“Partnerships like these are essential to scaling innovative solutions, creating sustainable jobs, and positioning Ghana as a hub for youth-driven entrepreneurship in Africa,” Mr. Adjei stated.
