The Ladies Association of the Volta River Authority (VRA) has dismissed recent media reports alleging its disapproval of Edward Obeng-Kenzo’s appointment as Acting Chief Executive Officer.
According to the National President of the association, Lady Susana Araphua Van-Brocke, the claims are false and baseless.
Contrary to the reports, the VRA Ladies Association has instead extended its congratulations to Ing. Obeng-Kenzo, pledging their total support for his leadership.
Expressing their enthusiasm for his appointment, the Association, represented by a nine-member national executive delegation, assured Ing. Obeng-Kenzo of their dedication and emphasized their role as the driving force behind the authority’s operations.
Accra Area President Lady Gloria Tagoe highlighted the association’s initiatives to empower and upskill women within the VRA to prepare them for leadership roles. She also appealed to Ing. Obeng-Kenzo for his support in advancing these efforts.
In response, the Acting Chief Executive expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to building on his predecessor’s achievements. He urged all staff, particularly members of the Ladies Association, to work together in pursuit of the authority’s shared goals.
