President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Godwin Edudzi Tameklo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA). The announcement was made via a press release from the Presidency on Friday, January 17.
Mr. Tameklo, who currently serves as the Director of Legal Affairs for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), brings extensive legal expertise and a strong commitment to public service to his new role.
Expressing gratitude for the appointment in a Facebook post on Saturday, January 18, 2024, Mr. Tameklo pledged to work diligently to meet the demands of the role.
“In humility, I pledge to work hard for God and country. Thank you everyone for the prayers and support.”
The NPA, Ghana’s regulatory body for the petroleum industry, is tasked with ensuring that operations align with international standards while contributing to national development.
