Suhum Youth Root For Triku Philip Kwasi As Next MCE

In a bold show of support, scores of youth and opinion leaders in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region have thrown their weight behind Triku Philip Kwasi, popularly known as Quashigah, to become the next Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

This development comes on the heels of President John Mahama’s recent revocation of the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCES), paving the way for new appointments.

Triku Philip Kwasi, the current 1st Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Suhum Constituency, has been a stalwart in the party, serving as Vice Chairman from 2018 to 2022 and again from 2022 to date.

His impressive track record and commitment to the party’s ideals have endeared him to the youth and opinion leaders in the municipality.

Triku Kwasi’s vision for the municipality is built around three key pillars: reuniting the party’s support base, working closely with constituency executives to capture the Suhum seat, and representing the president at the municipal level to help execute campaign promises.

His dedication to the party and its ideals is evident in his previous roles, including serving as polling agent for former President John Dramani Mahama in the 2018 presidential primaries.

The youth and opinion leaders in Suhum Municipality, comprising both NDC and NPP supporters, are convinced that Kwasi has the leadership acumen and experience to drive development in the municipality.

His nomination forms are expected to be filed at the party office on Monday, January 13, marking a significant step towards realizing his vision for the municipality.

As the NDC prepares to select its next crop of leaders, Kwasi’s candidacy has generated significant excitement among party faithful.
