Dumsor-Free Christmas: ECG Assures Ghanaians of Uninterrupted Power Supply

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured Ghanaians of reliable electricity supply throughout the upcoming Christmas festivities.

According to the Volta Regional General Manager of ECG, Christina Jatoe Kaleo, the service provider is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and joyful celebration without power disruptions for all its customers especially those in the Volta and Oti Regions.

“Our priority is to guarantee that residents in the Volta and Oti regions experience a seamless power supply during the festive season,” Ms Kaleo stated.

She acknowledged the operational challenges ECG faced in 2024, including infrastructure maintenance and increasing electricity demand. Despite these hurdles, Ms Kaleo highlighted key achievements and outlined plans to enhance service delivery in the coming year.

Ms Kaleo also urged the public to avoid illegal electricity connections and power theft, encouraging residents to report such activities. She assured that whistle-blowers would receive rewards for their cooperation.
