The founder of the New Vision Movement, who also doubles as an Independent Presidential Candidate, Kofi Koranteng is set to officially launch his 2024 campaign on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Many anticipate the event as a fresh entry into the highly competitive election cycle. It will also introduce Mr Koranteng’s running mate and unveil his groundbreaking manifesto, dubbed the “Mega Agenda for Ghana (MAG).” According to his campaign, this transformative policy framework popularly known as Mega 3Some outlines strategic interventions aimed at tackling some of Ghana’s most pressing challenges across economic, social, and political dimensions.
At the heart of the Mega 3Some is an elaborate agenda aimed at transforming the country and its finances into a resilient and prosperous one.
Known for his outspoken views and commitment to independent governance, Mr Koranteng has repeatedly positioned himself as the people’s candidate evident in his recent participation in the three-day anti-galamsey protests.
The campaign launch will see endorsements from several prominent personalities and failed presidential aspirants who share Koranteng’s vision for change.
These allies, some of whom failed to secure spots on the ballot paper for the 2024 General elections, have found a home in Koranteng’s vision, seeing his leadership as an alternative to the NDC and NPP hold on Ghana’s electoral landscape.
The running mate’s identity which has been kept under wraps is expected to be a strategic choice. His team has hinted that the individual will bring “vast expertise and a fresh approach,” critical to helping him sell his vision to the teeming Ghanaian youth.
