An 18-year-old student of the New Nsutam Senior High Technical School in the Abuakwa-North District of the Eastern Region has been allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend.
The victim identified as Abigail Asare, was said to be a General Arts Form Two student at the school and a resident of Accra.
Information available to newsalertgh.com indicates that on the morning of Friday, June 2, 2023, around 9 am, the deceased visited her boyfriend, Emeka, said to be a Togolese under the pretext of going home for the mid-term holidays.
Sources say a misunderstanding broke out between the two leading to a scuffle in which Emeka stabbed and left the deceased to bleed to death in his barber shop.
A customer who came to the shop for a haircut, saw the lifeless body of the victim on the floor soaked in blood from multiple knife wounds.
All efforts to apprehend the suspect have proved futile as he’s said to have bolted the scene after committing the heinous crime.
The lifeless body of the student has since been deposited at the Kyebi Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy as investigations into the incident continue.
