NDC Smuggling LGBTQ Agenda into School Curriculum – Rev. Ntim Fordjour Alleges

Former Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has accused the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) of deliberately introducing what he describes as an LGBTQ agenda into Ghana’s school curriculum.

In a statement on his social media pages, Rev. Fordjour alleged that the NDC had deliberately smuggled the LGBTQ agenda into the curriculum of schools.

“NDC has mischievously and deliberately smuggled the LGBTQ agenda into the curriculum, printed and distributed Teacher Manuals and other Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) to promote LGBTQ, contrary to their deceptive rhetoric of being the party which abhors LGBTQ.”

According to him, the move contradicts the party’s public posture on the issue.

Rev. Fordjour demanded the immediate withdrawal of the materials from schools across the country and called for an urgent review of the curriculum.

“We demand the immediate recall of all the Teacher Manuals and Textbooks propagating NDCs LGBTQ agenda, both online and in print, from schools. We further demand a review of all portions of TLMs poisoned with the LGBTQ agenda with immediate effect to sanitise the curriculum. We strongly caution the government to refrain from using NaCCA and the Ministry of Education to propagate this vile and evil agenda of LGBTQ sexuality education.”

Rev. Fordjour linked the alleged curriculum content to Parliament’s delay in considering the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, describing the situation as troubling.

“This diabolical and dangerous agenda, among others, reveals why this government has suppressed the private members’ bill: Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill from being listed in Order Paper for consideration and consequential passage by Parliament.”
