Parliament resumes sitting today

Parliament is set to resume sitting today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, following a two-month recess.

This follows a summons issued by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, which mandates that Members of Parliament (MPs) be formally notified of upcoming sittings.

The Speaker’s notice ensures that all MPs are adequately informed and prepared for the resumption of parliamentary business.

The Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic is therefore scheduled to commence today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

During this meeting, MPs are expected to engage in debates on key national issues, review legislation, and consider reports from various parliamentary committees.
