Abeiku Santana confirms his appointment as Deputy CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority

Ghanaian broadcaster Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, popularly known as Abeiku Santana, has confirmed his appointment as the Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.

Abeiku, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Ghanaian travel company Kaya Tours Ghana Limited, expressed gratitude to President Mahama for the opportunity given him in a post on his Instagram page on Friday, February 28, 2025.

“Thank you, Your Excellency Mr President John Dramani Mahama. I am deeply honored and profoundly grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me by appointing me as the Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority,” he wrote.

He added: “This opportunity is a great privilege to serve You and the good people of Ghana under your visionary leadership. With deepest gratitude and respect. God bless our dear Nation.”

Santana was born in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He started his basic education in Koforidua at Nana Kwaku Boateng Experimental School, and he later attended Ghana National College, Cape Coast, for his Ordinary Level certificate. He then attended Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua, for his Advanced level Certificate.

He holds a master’s degree in Tourism Management from the University of Cape Coast, a postgraduate in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and another master’s degree at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).

He is also an Associate in Legal Studies and Litigation from New York Paralegal School and has an advanced Certificate in Public Relations and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

Abeiku Santana will be deputising Maame Efua Houadjeto, who was appointed a few weeks ago as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
