President John Mahama has named Adam Mutawakilu, a former Member of Parliament for Damongo and a stalwart of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Water Limited (GWL).
The appointment, announced in a statement by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President, is subject to the mandatory recommendation of the GWL Governing Board and consultations with the Public Services Commission, as required by Ghana’s Constitution.

Mr Mutawakilu’s appointment will come into effect on 22nd January 2025.
