Explaining the rationale behind the program, Rabbito stated that he drew inspiration from his recent experiences with his late grandmother, who passed away at the age of 89.
He said, “My regular encounters with my grandmother, who passed away recently, inspired me to put this together because I felt how lonely she was all the time – no classmates, no reunion of her age group because peers’ unions and others fade out with time.”
“The purpose was mainly to bring these elderly ones together to have fun, reunite, and dance to exercise their weak muscles in the best way they could. If it was all about what they would eat and drink, their grandchildren could have done even better for them,” he added.

He assured that the program would become an annual event, where all the elderly in the community would be celebrated uniquely every year, as part of his desire to put smiles on their faces.
Opanyin John Ackoh, on behalf of the other celebrants, sincerely thanked the organizer of the event and prayed that others would come on board to ensure the party for the elderly could be sustained annually.
Rabbito Concert
The New Year’s Day event was a precursor to a major event the upcoming artist intended to host at the Old Lorry Station on the 4th to entertain his kinsmen with his yet-to-be-released banger “Odo Last.”
The mega concert on Saturday, January 4, will feature performances by Cape Coast-based famous artists Orkortor Perry and Qwesi Ghana from Takoradi, along with supporting “underground artists” from Takoradi, Cape Coast, Accra, and Kumasi who are billed for the night.

“You will agree with me that the vision of every young artist is to break through and rise to stardom. You know that for some, it may come on a silver platter, while others will have to go through the mill to succeed.
…And since charity begins at home, I am here to showcase my talents to my people, and the feeling is already great for me because some people have travelled from afar to witness this show. I am going to pour out my heart and soul and give them the best performance,” said Rabbito.
