A group of students in the North Gonja District, known as the Yagbon Students Association (YASA), celebrated their first anniversary in grand style.
The event, held at Yagbon D/A Junior High School on Saturday, the 28th, aimed to allow the association to express gratitude to its members, leaders, and supporters for their dedication, hard work, and contributions.
In his address, the association’s president emphasized that YASA’s mission focuses on shared goals of community development rather than individual political beliefs.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Ahmed Dawale encouraged students to cultivate a love for learning and personal growth, which will enable them to expand their knowledge and skills continuously throughout their lives.
Mr. James Basigi Jelinje, the patron of YASA, urged the association to foster unity among its members. He also encouraged them to champion girls’ education by addressing barriers and empowering girls and women to realize their full potential.
