Two people are feared dead in a violent clash between students of the Ngleshie Amanfrom Senior High School (NASEC) and Christian Methodist SHS during an SRC week celebration.
The unfortunate incident occurred at Block Factory on the Accra-Kasoa Highway in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
The trigger for the clash is not immediately known.
However, reports indicate that the fight between the two schools commenced last Friday, with authorities managing to bring the situation under control. Unfortunately, tensions resurged on Tuesday.
In an interview with Accra-based Adom News, an eyewitness recounted that three cars were destroyed during the early clash on Friday.
He explained that some students from Christian Methodist SHS went on a rampage, targeting any NASEC student they encountered.
In retaliation, NASEC students stormed the campus of Christian Methodist SHS, resulting in further chaos and violence.
The situation has since been brought under control, with armed policemen patrolling the streets of the clash.
