Chop off my manhood if NPP wins Assin North by-election – NDC Youth Organizer

The Bono East Regional Deputy Youth Organiser of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Obeng Agyenim Boateng, has categorically stated that he would willingly part with his manhood if the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) emerges victorious in the upcoming Assin North by-election.

Boateng expressed unwavering confidence in his party’s ability to retain the seat with James Gyakye Quayson as its candidate, despite what he described as intimidation and alleged vote-buying tactics employed by the NPP.

Highlighting the NDC’s strategic planning, strong community connection, and resolute determination, Boateng emphasized these factors as instrumental in the party’s potential success. He affirmed the NDC’s commitment to representing the interests and aspirations of the people, pledging to address their concerns and usher in positive change.

Speaking to Accra-based TV XYZ, he said “With the support and trust of the electorate, nothing will hinder our path to victory. The love for Hon. Quayson in Assin North, and for the NDC, is higher than expected due to the remarkable work of our candidate.”

“If the NPP candidate is able to vote during the by-election in Assin North, chop off my manhood!” He further exclaimed, “I am offering myself; if the NPP wins the by-election, come and chop off my manhood.”

The Assin North by-election is scheduled to take place on June 27, 2023, following the Supreme Court of Ghana’s decision to annul the former Member of Parliament, James Gyakye Quayson’s election due to a dual citizenship claim.
