EOCO secures court order freezing Dennis Miracles Aboagye’s five bank accounts, four properties in GH¢55m investigation

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has secured a court order freezing five bank accounts and four landed properties belonging to former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD), Dennis Miracles Aboagye.

The court’s preservation order bars any transactions involving the five identified bank accounts and prohibits the sale, transfer, mortgage or disposal of the four landed properties until further orders are issued.

The order forms part of EOCO’s efforts to preserve assets that could be relevant to its ongoing investigation into alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities.

Mr Aboagye is under investigation over allegations involving approximately GH¢55 million during his tenure as Executive Secretary of IMCCoD.

According to EOCO, investigators are examining financial transactions and procurement processes undertaken during the period under review to determine whether any financial impropriety occurred.

Mr Aboagye has denied all allegations against him, insisting that he has committed no wrongdoing.

He was earlier granted bail in the sum of GH¢50 million with three sureties pending the outcome of the investigations.
