Kwame Governs Agbodza: Roads Minister Ranks Among Top-Performing Ministers in FAKS 2025 Review

FAKS Investigative Services has ranked Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, among Ghana’s top-performing ministers in its 2025 Ministerial Performance Assessment, placing him joint fifth with a score of 79.90 per cent.

Mr Agbodza’s ranking reflects strong public approval of his performance at the Roads and Highways Ministry, where the assessment highlighted progress in road infrastructure development, project supervision, and responsiveness to sector challenges. The evaluation was based on feedback from 4,929 respondents across the country.

The assessment, conducted between October and December 2025, evaluated the performance of Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Regional Ministers, Members of Parliament, and Chief Executive Officers of State-Owned Enterprises. It also considered projects implemented by ministries, agencies, and Regional Coordinating Councils, as well as public perception of leadership effectiveness.

A total of 6,247 responses were collected nationwide from a broad cross-section of the public, including commercial drivers, traders, business owners, students, journalists, and civil society organisations. Of the respondents, 63 per cent were between the ages of 18 and 50, while 37 per cent were aged between 50 and 80.

FAKS Investigative Services noted that Agbodza’s performance placed him alongside Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in the top five, reinforcing his standing as one of the most effective members of the cabinet in 2025.
