Armed National Security, NIB Operatives Storm Ntim Fordjour’s Residence Over Suspicious Flights Saga

A heavy security presence drawn from the National Security and National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) are stationed at the residence of Assin South MP and Ranking Member of Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, in a bid to effect his arrest over recent allegations of drug trafficking and money laundering involving two suspicious aircraft.

newsalertgh.com counted at least four pickup trucks carrying heavily armed officers in full riot control gear stationed at various entry and exit points of the MP’s home. The move has created a tense atmosphere in the area and drew the attention of residents and passersby.

Eyewitnesses described the situation as chaotic and distressing, with Ntim Fordjour and his family visibly shaken by the dramatic turn of events.

A source close to the MP’s household said Rev. Fordjour himself appeared stunned by the development.

This follows the MP’s explosive press conference on April 1, where he alleged that two aircraft—an air ambulance and a private jet—may have been involved in drug trafficking or money laundering.

He specifically named Air MED flight L823 AM, which he claimed landed in Ghana on March 20 and remained on the tarmac for five days without any record of patient evacuation.

President John Dramani Mahama, in response to the allegations, directed all security agencies to immediately collaborate with the MP to unearth the facts. The President stressed Ghana’s zero-tolerance policy on drug trafficking and urged swift action to protect the country’s image and security.
