‘We’ll have a good Christmas’: BoG Governor assures Ghanaians of Cedi stability

Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Johnson Asiama, has assured Ghanaians of a favourable exchange-rate environment during the Christmas period, expressing confidence in the performance of the Cedi.

Dr Asiama made the remarks while speaking at the African Virtual Assets Summit (AVAS) 2026 on Monday, November 2, amid concerns about exchange-rate movements and their implications for businesses and consumers.
