The National Communications Authority (NCA) has reaffirmed that DSTV’s enhanced value subscription packages in Ghana remain in force following their implementation on October 1, 2025.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the Authority said a stakeholder committee chaired by the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, continues to monitor the impact of the revised pricing and value adjustments.
The NCA noted that the enhanced packages have been positively received by the public, leading to a significant increase in DSTV subscriptions across the country.
According to the statement, the committee, made up of representatives from the Ministry, the NCA and MultiChoice are also collaborating with the Cybersecurity Authority and other relevant agencies to address the growing challenge of illegal streaming.
