The stage is set for a thrilling semifinal showdown in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) as Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary (POJOSS) battle it out against Amaniapong SHS and St. Augustine’s College in Contest 2, scheduled for today, Monday, November 3, 2025.
The contest, organised by Primetime Limited in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and proudly sponsored by GOIL, promises an intense intellectual battle among three of Ghana’s top-performing schools.
Pope John SHS, one of the most consistent performers in this year’s championship, booked their semifinal slot after an impressive quarterfinal performance in which they outclassed Swedru SHS and Mpraeso SHS. Their confidence and tactical precision have made them one of the top contenders for the coveted NSMQ trophy this year.
However, they face a formidable challenge from Amaniapong SHS, who have earned a reputation for pulling off upsets against bigger names, and St. Augustine’s College, a former NSMQ champion renowned for its resilience and strategic brilliance.
With all three schools eyeing a spot in the grand finale, today’s contest is expected to deliver suspense, excitement, and academic fireworks.
