MP for Sagnarigu, Issah Atta, has been declared the Northern Regional Member of Parliament of the Year following his incredible performance in and out of Parliament.
The first-time MP was awarded at the Northern Excellence Awards held over the weekend.
The Northern Excellence Awards (NExA) is an annual event organised by the Celebrities Charity Development Foundation to recognise individuals and organisations making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Northern Ghana.
The awards specifically honour individuals and institutions excelling in various fields such as health, academia, politics, philanthropy, sports, showbiz, and the arts. The initiative aims to celebrate and promote excellence and development-oriented individuals and organisations in Northern Ghana.
This year, the Board of Trustees considered Atta Issah as the most influential politician in the Northern Region due to his contribution to the well-being of his constituents and the people of the region.
Speaking after the award ceremony, Atta Issah said, “This is a privilege for me. This means that within a short period of time in Parliament, people are recognising my work, and I’m deeply honoured.”
